Nurminen Logistics Plc started its operation
Nurminen Logistics Plc was created on 1 January 2008 when John Nurminen Oy split up. The new listed company provides and produces high-quality logistics services that enhance our customers' competitiveness in Finland, the Baltic Sea region, Russia and other CIS countries.
The operation of Nurminen Logistics is divided into three business units: Nurminen Cargo, Nurminen Heavy and Nurminen Care. Nurminen Cargo offers rail transports, terminal services and forwarding; Nurminen Heavy offers special and heavy transports and Nurminen Care offers medical transports.

Precontract for Vuosaari Logistics Centre to John Nurminen
John Nurminen Oy has signed a precontract with the Helsinki Harbour Board. According to the contract, the Port of Helsinki will lease to John Nurminen an area of 7.5 hectares in the Vuosaari Harbour Centre’s logistics area, where John Nurminen will build in stages a logistics centre of 40,000 m2.
This project is an important step in the company’s strategy of expansion and gives an excellent opportunity to add and diversify the service supply of cargo handling and value-added services.
Planning of the building project is well on its way and the target is to finish the first stage when the Vuosaari harbour is completed in November 2008.
